Lovehoney Desire Luxury Couple's Kit

We were delighted to have been sent this Desire Couple's Kit in return for our honest review here, and we will be writing about it on our blog too. With the matched pairing of a pebble style clitoral vibrator and a vibrating 'love' ring, it seemed like the perfect combo. Also, being USB rechargeable is a massive bonus and is becoming a must-have feature for us. Interestingly, one item from the kit we expected to love from the outset, the other item we were a little unsure of. But as soon as we'd tried them both, we discovered that our favourite of the two was the item we had initially least expected...!

And so, in no particular order, we'll describe the Desire Clitoral Vibrator first. Both items come in their own smart zip-up case, containing an internal net pocket. Everything about the packaging is beautifully presented and would be perfect if you're considering this as a gift. The device itself is controlled by three buttons: power up, power down, and change pattern. It's all very simple and intuitive.

Our one criticism would be that we found it tricky to insert the charging cable into the concealed socket. It's fairly easy when you know how, but initially we found it difficult to get the correct angle for inserting the plug.

Regarding the power, it's very good for the size. We'd recently been quite underwhelmed by the power of the We-Vibe 4+, but can happily report we found this Desire vibrator to be much better. The curved pebble shape feels great in your hand and once it's in use, it nestles really comfortably around your pubic bone and with enough of a curve that the firm silicone-covered tip is in perfect position on your clit. The control buttons are easy and you'll have no trouble getting going.

What we loved about this vibe is its sheer flexibility. We found it works well in all of our favourite positions; from classic missionary and raised leg variations, doggy style, cowgirl and reverse cowgirl, rear and half rear positions, there was no position where it failed to hit the spot! Fabulous product and highly recommended.

With the vibrating cock ring, we found the controls a little less intuitive. There are only two buttons controlling three functions: power up, power down, and change pattern. The solution involves a combination of long and short presses on the power up button. We'd suggest taking a few minutes to practice so that you're not trying to seek out the instruction book in the heat of the moment, or follow our example and just stick to the "default" steady vibrate pattern.

The silicone ring is rather tight, but you can stretch it whilst getting it into position and it certainly stays in position extremely nicely. And now might be a good time to reveal that it's this cock ring that we felt uncertain about, but it has become our firm favourite! The clitoral vibe has the advantage of flexibility, but we love the hands-free simplicity of this ring.

You do have to tailor your lovemaking to the device, but basically any face-to-face position works well, and try for slow grinding rather than rapid thrusting! It's our first experience of a vibrating cock ring and it has been a revelation. We experienced simultaneous orgasms the very first time we tried it - sheer bliss all round!

In summary, the Desire Couple's Kit is a perfect combination and we'd have no hesitation in recommending it. The silicone both looks and feels great, and the power levels are very good. The vibrating tip of each item is nice and firm, so you really feel every subtle shift in position and vibration. Also, the "kit" is great value compared to the individual prices.
