Lovehoney Plus Size Hot For You Color-Changing Bra Set

Usually when I write a review on an item I have received as a tester I don't mention it. I don't want anyone thinking I am only being positive as I have received it in exchange for a review. However, this time I think it is important to say I knew very little about this set until it came through in its discreet packaging. All I knew was it was a mesh bra and thong set.

On opening the packaging all I could see was how beautiful this set was. The mesh fabric is my favourite for lingerie, it's soft, stretchy and comfortable. For those who know me or read my reviews, you will know comfort is my biggest thing. I do not want to feel restricted by my lingerie. The black hearts really added something different to the bra and thong. The hearts on the bra keep your modesty by covering your nipples, the one on the front of the thong simply ties the set together. Such a cute fun design.

I tried the set on, so comfortable! The bra strap is fully adjustable to achieve that perfect fit then a simply tie creates a halterneck. The thong is of a similar design, fully adjustable. I was so happy until I noticed something on the bra.

Holy macaroni, Batman, the black hearts were turning red! I had no idea that this was going to happen and all I could do was laugh! I saw the black fade to a brown then to a glorious red! I was not expecting this so it completely made my day. I was so excited I was standing in my underwear in the living room and shouted my husband through. With the quickness in my voice he thought something was wrong so came hurtling through. We both stood and stared at my boobs in awe. This unexpected surprise was fantastic!

The colour change temperature is really good, my husband jokes that I am cold-blooded as I am always freezing! Yet in winter (yep, I am in Scotland so anything that isn't July is winter!), my body heat turned them slowly red. The hotter I got, the more handsy my husband and the brighter they got! Utterly brilliant!

The comfort and fit of this set are perfect. The bra holds up my C cup bust, I am very broad-backed but there is plenty of room to extend the back even further. This is a very good sized bra.

Same with the thong, there is plenty of room to extend it past my 18-20 peachy behind.

This is by far my favourite underwear ever! It's pretty, it's comfy and did I mention it changes colour?! It ticks every box I could ever want!

After washing the hearts change colour just as well as they ever have. The set looks just as new after each wash. I couldn't be happier!

I received this item as a secret tester and therefor I didn’t know much about it.

There for you can imagine my shock when I pop it on and the hearts on my nipples started to turn red! I had to go into another room and check it wasn’t the lighting ! This rely amused me and I thought what a great, funny little touch!

It would seem the hearts on both the top and the thong colour change when exposed to body heat!

Moving onto the fit. I am a dress size 18/20 with a 38/40c chest. This set fitted me perfectly with ample room for adjustment to fit a bigger or smaller size than myself.

Both the top and the bottoms have thick bands of black shiny elastic which I think rely makes this plus size friendly. As well as this, you can adjust the size of each accordingly with a simple skid adjuster.

The top had a hook (bikini type) clasp, which is easy to pop on and off. If I’m feeling brave next summer I may try it out as a bikini top... although I think the tan lines would be interesting!

This cute little set is great fun! The mesh panels on each cup and the front of the thong are coated with colour-change fabric in the shape of hearts, which turn red when warmed by body heat. The idea is great, and as long as you're not feeling too cold when you dress up, the results are pretty great too. If it's a bit nippy, though, you won't get the full effect of the colour-change panels and they'll stay a dark, mottled grey-pink - which is still a nice colour, but not as noticeable.

The heat-sensitive patches are smooth and shiny on the inside which is comfortable against the skin, and matte on the outside. They contrast nicely against the fine mesh material of the bra cups and the thong, and the bra and thong themselves have thick ribbon straps in a bikini style.

The build quality is quite good for a novelty set, and there is plenty of adjustability in both the bra and the thong - the bra has a halterneck as well as an adjustable hook back, and the side straps of the thong are also adjustable, so it can be customised to fit a range of body types. The only part I would consider limiting as far as size would be the cups themselves, but there is plenty of room there and the mesh material is quite stretchy. There isn't much support in the bra due to it being soft and halterneck, but it does fit nicely.

Overall this bra set is cute and fun but not the most practical outside of a nice warm bedroom!
